Colorful and Playful Dresses

You know I love wardrobe styling kids in bright, bold, playful fashion!AND as I style kids, I also style myself in the same way!  I talk about some of my favorites in this post, What I Wear To Work As A Kids Stylist HERE.  In that post I talk about one of my "go-to's", Sonnet James!

It's been one of my fav's since I first learned about the Sonnet James brand founded by Whitney Lundeen in the Love Taza Blog.  My first was this colorful and playful pink and orange Remi dress. (It's like a baseball tee dress!)  It's one of those "make me happy" styles that I just "throw on" with a cute pair of white keds and I'm off to a Photo Shoot to style.

As a mom, I found myself searching for clothes that I could feel comfortable in while playing with my kids. Clothes that could be easily cleaned yet still stylish and cute. Sonnet James was born out of the idea that beautiful clothing should work for moms; it should be durable, comfortable and easy to care for. Each day, when I put a Sonnet James dress on, it helps me remember who I want to be; a playful mother who is confident in herself and who wants her kids to feel the same.

THAT says it all, right?!  You want to be a playful mother who plays with your kids. I feel the same as a Kids Photo Stylist . . . When I'm styling in the studio and on location, I want to get in there and play with the kids as I style!  We don't want to wear uncomfortable clothes with restrictions.  Sonnet James are soft, stretchy with washable fabrics. LOVE them! 

My latest Sonnet James purchase was a couple weeks ago. (They also have GREAT sales!) It is the Green Juliet Scoop Neck, pictured below.  It's bright and happy.  While most of the time I wear my Sonnet James casually (with a high top or kids sneaker) ~ I have also put on a pair of high scrappy sandals and dressed it all UP!
